Burnside Vehicle Auctions operates as a trade auction vehicle sales center, providing a diverse selection of cars, vans, and commercial vehicles at competitive prices. All vehicles are sold strictly under trade terms unless specified otherwise.
A Better Way to Buy at Auction Prices
Following the changes in the auction landscape due to Covid-19—where limited viewing and online bidding have become the standard—Burnside Vehicle Auctions offers a different approach. Here, you can:
• View vehicles in person
• Inspect them at your own pace
• Take test drives (subject to insurance)
• Arrange for RAC or AA inspections
• Make purchases at a fixed price — avoiding the chaos of bidding wars
No pressure. No aggressive sales tactics. Just transparent pricing.
Fixed Prices – No Bidding
The price you see is the price you pay (plus any clearly disclosed fees). If multiple buyers express interest in the same vehicle simultaneously, it will be offered to the highest bidder.
Vehicle Condition Categories
To ensure clarity, we utilize a color-coded system:
🔴 Red – Non-runner
🔵 Blue – Unprepared, unwarranted vehicle (trade sale)
🟢 Green – Fully prepared and warranted vehicle (sold through our parent company SVS Ltd, located on-site. Extended warranties available.)
Important – Viewing Required
All vehicles must be physically inspected by the buyer (or their representative) before purchase. We do not provide assessments over the phone. All decisions should be made based on your inspection.
Strictly no sales without prior viewing.
Inspections & Test Drives Welcomed
We encourage thorough inspections.
• No time limits for viewing
• Bring a mechanic if desired
• AA & RAC inspections are welcomed
• Test drives allowed (you must be insured)
Simply quote the registration number upon arrival and our team will assist you with the keys.
HPI & Vehicle Checks
All vehicles are HPI checked for:
• Outstanding finance (cleared by us if applicable)
• Previous insurance loss (e.g., Category S — which is clearly declared)
If a vehicle starts and drives, it will be advertised as “Starts and Drives.” Mileage cannot be guaranteed — buyers must perform their own checks.
Deposits
A £500 deposit secures a vehicle for 5 working days. Full payment must be completed within this timeframe.

Trade Terms Summary

• No warranties or guarantees are offered (unless explicitly stated)
• No refunds or returns once the vehicle departs from our premises
• Implied terms such as satisfactory quality or fitness for purpose do not apply
